Inspired by jazz and funk-infused instrumental hip hop of the 1990s, likeallstars made a lot of slow jams and heavy grooves with Bubblebrain and continues to return periodically to the sound. The work has evolved idiosyncratically, reaching in the cracks where dub and hip hop grind in audiological metamorphosis, and from it grow flowers of sonic blue.
